The study comprised five chapters. The initial chapter provided an overview of the research's intent: to develop rehabilitation exercises for athletes with scapular muscle issues, assessing their impact on enhancing strength endurance, gauging electrical muscle activity, and measuring the range of motion in the scapular muscles. Additionally, it aimed to discern the advantages of rehabilitation through exercises created by the researcher in contrast to the hospital's physical therapy unit's program.
In pursuit of this objective, the researcher employed an experimental method, forming two identical groups from athletes with scapular muscle problems in sports clubs within Dhi Qar Governorate. The participants included six athletes: two wrestlers, two track and field athletes, and two handball players. These individuals were randomly divided into two groups, each comprising three players: one control group and one experimental group. The variables identified for the research included maximum strength, endurance, six shoulder range-of-motion movements, and scapular muscle electrical activity.
Pre-tests were conducted on the research sample to ensure equivalence and homogeneity between the groups before commencing the training exercises. The rehabilitation exercises were administered over eight weeks, totaling 24 sessions. The initial three weeks involved physical therapy (ultrasound) sessions, after which the designated exercises were implemented at a rate of three units per week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Upon completing the rehabilitation program, post-tests were conducted on the injured athletes within the research sample. The gathered data underwent analysis using the statistical program SPSS. The findings indicated that the prescribed rehabilitation exercises positively impacted the range of motion, physical capabilities, and electrical muscle activity. Furthermore, the experimental group outperformed the control group across all research variables.
