Abstract

This research holds significance in the pursuit of more effective training methods to enhance performance levels and meticulously monitor progress through the lens of biomechanical variables, with a primary aim of refining serving skills. The research problem was identified as the researcher closely monitored the training and matches of the Dhi Qar Committee. It became apparent that some players executed the serving skill without due consideration of the mechanical foundations of the movement, resulting in a decline in performance quality and an inability to exploit the opponent's defenses effectively. This prompted the researcher to investigate this issue and explore suitable remedies, including the utilization of specialized exercises involving rubber and tension ropes, aligned with fundamental mechanical principles.

The research objectives encompassed the comparison of pre- and post-test results concerning select kinematic variables and the precision of serving skill execution within control and experimental groups. Additionally, the research sought to differentiate between the control and experimental groups in terms of these kinematic variables and the accuracy of serving skill performance in the post-tests.

Regarding the research hypotheses, it was hypothesized that statistically significant differences exist between the pre- and post-test results for the values of select kinematic variables and the accuracy of serving skill execution for both control and experimental groups. Moreover, statistical distinctions were expected to emerge between the control and experimental groups concerning these kinematic variables and the precision of serving skill performance in the post-tests.

The research employed an experimental design with two equivalent groups, namely the experimental and control groups, within the population of sitting volleyball players associated with the Dhi Qar Volleyball Committee in Dhi Qar Governorate.
