In the contemporary landscape of psychology, sports psychology has gained significant prominence as a crucial branch. Contrary to the prevailing belief that sports success hinges solely on physical, skill, and tactical aspects, this study underscores the importance of understanding energy values, particularly in the context of female students engaging in rhythmic gymnastics. The objective is to unravel the psychological states during skill performances, identify these states, devise effective treatment approaches, and optimize results in pivotal tests, such as the final exam.
The research focused on second-stage female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Thi-Qar , totaling 38 students. After excluding non-committed and non-participating female students, the final sample comprised 15 individuals, deemed representative for the study. The applied approach was descriptive, aligning with the study's objectives.
The researcher's findings indicate that female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Thi-Qar University, possess significant psychological energy. Moreover, a positive and statistically significant relationship was identified between the dimensions of psychological energy values and the proficiency in executing fundamental skills in rhythmic gymnastics. As a result, one of the researcher's recommendations emphasizes the importance of cultivating substantial psychological energy among physical education students. This emphasis, it is argued, not only enhances their ability to manage psychological energy but also facilitates control over physical energy, establishing a reciprocal relationship.
