Abstract

The importance of the research is evident in that it is a serious scientific attempt to use Driver’s model because it is one of the constructivist theoretical models, which the researchers believe has a positive impact on learning some basic skills in football, including the handling skill.

The research aimed to identify the impact of Driver’s model on learning the handling skill. The research sample was chosen, represented by first-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Al Ain University for the academic year (2023-2024 AD), the first semester. The researchers used the experimental method by designing two equal groups (the control). and experimental).

The most important conclusions of the research were the superiority of the experimental group that was implemented according to Driver’s model over the control group that was implemented according to the teacher’s method in teaching the skill of handling a soccer ball to students. The researchers recommend conducting similar studies that address Driver’s model on samples and stages that the current study did not address for students.
