This study undertakes a multifaceted exploration within the realm of physical education in preparatory schools in Babylon Governorate. The primary objectives include the construction of a comprehensive measure to assess the quality of teaching as perceived by students and the development of a corresponding gauge for students' feelings of achievement during physical education lessons. The research further endeavors to ascertain the level of teaching quality and students' achievement sentiments, probing into the nature of the relationship between these two variables.
Employing a descriptive approach, the researcher utilized both survey and correlational methods. The research population encompassed preparatory school students across 40 schools in Babylon. The primary sample comprised 220 students from Musayyib Preparatory School, with additional subsets for exploration (5 students), construction (129 students), and application (86 students) purposes. Two scales were meticulously crafted to collect data— one measuring the quality of physical education teaching, and the other capturing students' feelings of achievement during these lessons.
Statistical analyses, including arithmetic mean, percentage, and simple correlation coefficient, were applied to the collected data. The study yielded insightful conclusions, highlighting that physical education lessons in preparatory schools in Babil Governorate exhibit an average level of quality as perceived by students. Additionally, students in the region reported a moderate level of feelings of achievement during physical education lessons. Notably, a robust direct correlation was identified between the quality of teaching in physical education and students' feelings of achievement during these lessons, shedding light on the interconnected nature of these crucial elements in the educational process.
