Abstract

The importance of the research lies in the use of motor learning methods for motor skills, represented by the sequential method, and this type of exercise (sequential) allows learners to focus on performance uninterruptedly, so it enables them to acquire a good skill before moving on to another skill. The research problem is that there is a clear weakness. In the level of performance of handball shooting skills and the players' failure to reach the stage of mastery in performing this skill, and this weakness is due to several reasons, including the lack of use Appropriate educational methods, or the method used in learning the skill may not be in line with the players' need and motor ability, which does not contribute to upgrading the skill level as required, and it also takes a long time and effort when learning it using the traditional methods used, either. As well as recognizing the impact of the sequential method in acquiring the skill of shooting, but the hypotheses of the research is that the learning of the sequential method has a positive effect in acquiring the skill of shooting. The researchers used the experimental approach appropriate to the nature of the research problem, and the research sample was from the players of the Specialized School in Al-Muthanna Governorate, consisting of (38) players as an experimental group, after excluding (3) players, who are goalkeepers, and removing (1) player due to injury, and (4) players for the purpose of the experiment. Thus, the main research sample amounted to (30) players, and the researchers concluded that the use of the sequential method contributed effectively to the acquisition of the shooting skill, and that defining one educational unit per week for learning is not sufficient for the players to reach the stage of learning and mastering the shooting skill.

The research sample consisted of seven athletes deliberately chosen by the researchers for their shoulder drop deviation. The researchers meticulously applied evaluative exercises guided by sensory modeling, utilizing various tools to measure specific biomechanical indicators and enhance muscular strength over a span of eight weeks, comprising 24 training units distributed over three units per week.

The research findings emphasized that the categorization of mechanical errors related to performance, coupled with each learner observing them, instilled self-motivation towards achieving ideal performance through evaluative exercises. The overarching aim of these exercises was to develop absolute strength for both muscle moments.
