The substantial student population in a single class poses challenges to the effective delivery and acquisition of information, especially in mastering skills, such as those required for ground tennis. Due to various factors, some students inevitably face delays in learning fundamental tennis skills. Recognizing this issue, a group of students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al Ain National University demonstrated incomplete or incorrect learning of skills. Consequently, corrective exercises utilizing modern aids were deemed essential to address these challenges.
The research focused on developing and implementing corrective exercises, employing modern tools, to rectify errors associated with front and backhand strokes in tennis among third-stage students at the College of Physical Education, Al Ain National University, for the academic year (2021-2022). The research community comprised students from the same college and academic year, deliberately selected for the study. The research sample, representing those facing challenges in learning, was randomly chosen through a lottery system based on observations and recommendations from the subject teacher. The sample consisted of (23) students aged (22-23) years. The experimental group, selected randomly through a lottery, comprised (10) students, and (3) students were included for the exploratory experiment from outside the initial research sample. Two participants who did not adhere to the pre-test were replaced, resulting in a sample percentage of (43.478%).
The researchers observed that the implementation of corrective exercises using modern means notably improved skill performance in front and backhand strokes within a short timeframe. The study recommends the widespread application of these corrective exercises, emphasizing the use of modern teaching aids, to expedite and enhance the learning process. The incorporation of such tools is deemed imperative to elevate the speed and precision of skill acquisition among learners.
