Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of an educational program using a differentiated teaching method on learning to lift chest and lunge in weightlifting for first-year students at the College of Physical Education in Muthanna. The researcher used the experimental method because it suits the nature of the research. As for the research sample, it was as follows: The research community consisted of 220 students from the first stage. The research sample was chosen in a deliberate, random way and its number was (50) students. (10) students were chosen to conduct the exploratory study, and the rest were (40) students who were divided into two experimental groups. And a control group, where the strength of each group reached (20) students. The conclusions reached by the researcher were that the educational program using a differentiated teaching method had a positive impact on the students’ results in the level of performance for the chest and lunge under research. The results showed that the members of the experimental group that used the differentiated teaching method were superior to the members of the control group in measurements of the level of performance of the chest lift and the squat. The researcher recommended the necessity of using a differentiated teaching method in learning weightlifting skills for young people.
