Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the differences in the level of life skills and athletic achievement between the Nineveh Education team and the Salah Al-Din Education team in indoor football. The descriptive method was used with a causal comparative approach. The research population included players from the teams participating in the Education League in Iraq for the academic year 2023-2024, totaling 180 players. The research sample was deliberately selected and included the Nineveh Education team and the Salah Al-Din Education team, consisting of 40 players with 12 players for each team. Sixteen players were excluded for stability and pilot testing purposes. The researcher adopted the Athletic Life Skills Scale developed by Fadel (2022) and used statistical measures such as mean, standard deviation, hypothetical mean, independent samples t-test, and one-sample t-test. The effectiveness of the scale used by the researcher was inferred on the players of the Education Football teams and whose ages ranged between 14 and 17 years. The research findings showed that the Nineveh Education team outperformed the Salah Al-Din Education team in life skills and athletic achievement.Based on the results, the researcher made several recommendations.
