واقع إستخدام إستراتيجيات التدريس في التربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضة في إقليم كوردستان العراق

The aim of the study is to identify the reality of employing teaching techniques and strategies during lessons in colleges and departments of physical education and sport sciences in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) that are compatible with the new curriculum and to define the difficulties that hinder their implementation. The researchers assumed that there is a significant degree of utilisation of teaching strategies in the theoretical aspects of lesson planning, which include the dimensions (educational objectives, planning, and competencies), and during performing the lesson from the practical aspect, which includes the dimensions (educational practices and evaluation), by professors of colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences. Additionally, there is a strong correlation between the theoretical and practical aspects, as well as various challenges that impede the use of teaching strategies from the perspective of the professors.
The researchers used a descriptive method. The research population consists of faculty members in colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences at public universities in KRI. As for the research sample, there were forty three faculty members from various academic degrees.
The researchers used a questionnaire form that was previously designed by the researchers (Bolarbah and Najeeb, 2014). After completing the scientific requirements and finalising the formulation of the questionnaire, the researchers distributed it to the individuals in the research sample. After statistically analysing the data, the researchers reached a set of conclusions: using teaching strategies during lesson planning (the theoretical side) and during performing the lesson (the practical side) by professors in the colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences Moreover, they found a strong correlation between the two dimensions of teaching strategies (planning and performing the lesson).
Furthermore, there are various difficulties that impede the use of teaching strategies from the perspective of professors in the colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences. Therefore, the researchers recommend conducting training courses and workshops to enhance the effectiveness of professors' usage of modern teaching strategies. They also suggest developing a practical field programme that includes instructional sessions based on observation and the application of theoretical dimensions in reality within the framework of modern strategies.
