This study aimed to develop and validate a measure assessing motivational attitudes toward goal achievement among students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Salah al-Din University. Additionally, the research sought to identify variations in motivational attitudes based on gender and academic stage.
The research cohort comprised fourth-stage students, with a sample size of 200 participants divided into an exploratory group (100 students) and a main experimental group (100 students), including 43 females and 57 males. The research tool, a 24-item scale, was meticulously developed, ensuring validity and reliability through rigorous preparation steps.
Analysis of the main experimental group data led to the following findings:
- There was a convergence of motivational tendencies toward goal achievement among students, irrespective of gender.
- Fourth-stage students surpassed their third-stage counterparts in motivational orientations toward goal attainment within the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
In conclusion, this study underscores the importance of utilizing the developed measure of motivational attitudes in selecting individuals for various sports activities or events. Is this conversation helpful so far?
