Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effect of three peer guidance, cooperative learning, and traditional learning in learning some basic skills in volleyball (swiping from below, scrolling from top, transmitting from the bottom of the side, and sending from the bottom of the confrontation). The researchers have assumed that there are statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-tests of the research groups in learning some basic skills in volleyball. The researchers used the experimental approach for its suitability and the nature of the research, and the research sample included (75) students from the second stage students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Maysan University for the academic year 2018-2019. After conducting the pre-tests for the skills under research and after applying the educational curriculum and then the post-tests and after using the appropriate statistical means, the results of the research were reached that the peer guidance learning strategy was better than the cooperative learning strategy, then the traditional strategy comes in terms of positively influencing learners in learning some basic skills in volleyball. The most important recommendations were the use of peer guidance strategy and cooperative learning strategy in teaching volleyball skills, as well as conducting similar studies and research on the use of peer guidance and cooperative learning in other sports activities.
