Abstract

After reviewing the scientific sources in the field of sports training and futsal, the researchers noticed that competitive skill games exercises have a major role in developing the skill performance of players, especially age groups, and from here the researcher set the following aims.

  • Develop a training curriculum using competitive skill games to develop the skill performance of futsal players.
  • Identify the impact of the training curriculum using competitive skill games in developing the basic skills of futsal players.

To achieve the research objectives, the researchers developed the following hypotheses:

  • There are statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test for the research sample, in favor of the post-test.

The researchers used a one-group experimental design, as the research sample consisted of 16 players from Al-Mawhibah School in Nineveh Governorate. After that, pre-tests were conducted on the research sample, which took only one day. After that, the training curriculum for competitive games exercises began, and the implementation of the curriculum took (8) weeks, with two intermediate sessions. The first and second sessions consist of (4) weeks, with a load frequency of (3-1), with three training units per week. After completing the implementation of the training curriculum, the post-tests were conducted following the same procedures that were adopted in the pre-tests, The data was saved using the SPSS program.

The researchers reached the following conclusion:

The competitive skill games exercises carried out by the experimental group resulted in development in the basic skills (rolling, putting down, passing, scoring) in the post-test.
