The research holds importance in conducting a comparative study to assess the strength endurance of both fists (right and left) among secondary students (intermediate and preparatory levels) over the duration of their previous physical education classes. The study aims to explore the impact of daily activities, whether at home, on the streets, at work, or school, on their physical performance, as well as their ability to engage in sports and extracurricular activities. These activities encompass various elements such as physical fitness, skills, tactics, etc. It has been observed that organized sports, particularly basketball, handball, volleyball, and field events (javelin, discus, and weight throwing), largely rely on the use of fists and hands (both right and left). Thus, it is essential to possess strength in order to correctly handle the ball during these activities, ensuring it doesn't fall or get taken by an opponent. Consequently, the researchers have decided to explore this study to compare the strength endurance levels of both fists and develop future plans, if necessary, to improve and enhance this characteristic among students within the physical education curriculum.
The study targets high school students (intermediate and preparatory levels), aged between 13 and 18 years. The primary objectives are to determine the strength endurance levels of both fists for each school stage within secondary education and analyze any disparities that may exist between these stages. Additionally, the researchers aim to identify which fist (right or left) demonstrates better strength endurance. The research sample consists of students from Al-Ihsan Mixed Secondary School in Al-Diwaniyah during the academic year 2022-2023. Students from the first grade through the sixth grade were randomly chosen using a simple random lottery method. One division was selected from each class with the necessary approvals obtained from the principal and teaching staff to conduct the study for the overall benefit. Each division included 20 students. The study encompasses various field procedures, tests, and measurements to collect the required data. Subsequently, the collected data will be statistically analyzed, tabulated, and discussed through appropriate methodologies, which will lead to drawing the necessary conclusions. Based on the results achieved, appropriate recommendations will be provided.
